Jennifer Pompa

When the opportunity to host Hair Talk came about I knew all the things I’ve learned, and all the experiences I’ve gained had lead me to this point! I love sharing new styles and tips.I love figuring out how celebrity hair stylists are creating red carpet and fashion runway looks and sharing the information with every one.

Hair Talk is the perfect platform for me to share my knowledge and experiences with anybody at all who might be interested! I think hair is an extremely important part of an overall look. We should pay just as much attention to our hair as we do to the clothes we put on every day. A bad hair day can mean an overall bad day, but hopefully with the tips contained here at you will never have to have another bad hair day again.

Because lets face it…… in the end, no matter who you are…or what you’re doing…everybody wants to look beautiful!

Jennifer Pompa - Biography

I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and have slowly been making my way northbound on I-35 landing me here in Dallas, Texas. I became interested in hair at a very young age. I took over doing my own hair at age 7 when my mother was unsuccessfully trying to give me a side ponytail for a birthday party. My frustration with what my hair looked like, combined with a very tender head, was the perfect start to what would become my love affair with hair. Since I can remember I’ve grown tired of hairstyles very quickly. Every time I change something in my life, I feel like I should change my hairstyle as well, as the perfect complement to a new chapter, or sometimes, just because! I became involved in performing arts as a young child, and it’s a passion of mine that continues to this day.

Performing gave me the opportunity to see myself in many different styles. Whether it was a full head of curlers (I used to sleep in pink sponge rollers) before a recital or performance, or wearing a wig that was nothing like my natural style for a part I was playing, I came to realize that there is no limit to the number of hair styles that can be created! As a young adult I went to beauty school in central Texas hoping to obtain my cosmetology license. Beauty School was where I first became obsessed with hair extensions and the idea of adding hair to styles to make them look “red carpet ready”. After finishing beauty school and moving to Dallas, TX I began working for the company Beauty and, or as you may know them: Hair Working for Beauty & Hair opened my eyes to a whole new world of hair possibility! I was learning about products I didn’t even know existed, and helping people figure out what hair pieces and accessories were perfect for them! Texas is a perfect place to get really really good at creating styles, battling natural elements like humidity and extreme heat can make styling hair like mine (wavy and unruly) quite a challenge! I’ve performed countless experiments on my own hair and some on some willing and forgiving friends, some of them successful, some of them learning situations! After a few bad perms, a few bad cuts, and a few tears, I have a very solid knowledge base about exactly what works!
